Amanda Blaine is an Alberta-based artist who paints animals with a loose, expressive style. She works mostly in acrylic, building up layers of unexpected colour and texture to bring her subjects to life.

She’s especially drawn to wildlife—birds, foxes, bears, and small creatures—and enjoys capturing their personality without getting caught up in perfect detail. Her work leans into movement, mood, and a bit of playfulness.

Amanda is always exploring new techniques, including ceramics, but painting remains at the heart of her practice.
