Christina Anastassopoulos is a multidisciplinary eco feminist artist and designer who lives and works in Ottawa, Ontario. She is committed to bridging the arts and sciences through playful visual storytelling. Her illustration and playful style call attention to the minute snippets of daily life, inserting the ungovernable world of plants and animals as main characters.
With an education in Art History and Psychology, her works often query how colour and composition affect the human mind and soul. A self-taught artist, she is constantly chasing that excitement and continuously challenges herself to try new things and find new ways of seeing.
A mother of two and an active part of her community, she is constantly seeking connections and finds ways to instill wonder in others for the natural world around us.
Her artistic career has spanned a few iterations that all seem to center on this common theme. From her start as a fabric designer to her printmaking days, she expressly felt that she landed on the purest form to relay expression at the end of a paintbrush. To be able to live in the colour stage of the artistic process from infancy is her muse
