I began painting and drawing at a young age in my hometown of Collingwood, Ontario. Growing up in a small Canadian town provided the freedom to run with wild abandon through apple orchards, farm fields & streams with childhood friends and neighbours. These adventures shaped my love of open landscape while the waves of Georgian Bay lapped at the shoreline of the area. Summers were spent beachside and winters were spent hillside skiing down the slopes of Blue Mountain. This area was a one stoplight town when I was a kid and at the time I had no idea that the love of this lush backdrop would provide an intense appreciation for playful shape and colour in the ever changing windswept seasons. This appreciation continues to be captured in my work as an artist. Today I’m settled once again in a charming small town with waves lapping this time from Lake Huron. I work from my home studio in Kincardine, Ontario and this place captures so much of the magic of my childhood..
