Elena Dinissuk - Rooted North - Acrylic on gallery style canvas

Elena Dinissuk is a Canadian landscape artist whose semi-abstract impressionist paintings celebrate the beauty, atmosphere, and emotion of the natural world. Working primarily in acrylics, she combines expressive palette knife techniques with large bristle brushes to create textured surfaces where light, movement, and layered colour come together.
Inspired by the lakes, rivers, rocky shorelines, and forests of Muskoka, Elena explores the ever-changing relationship between light, water, and sky.
Her paintings evoke a sense of peace, reflection, and connection, encouraging viewers to pause and rediscover the restorative power of the Canadian landscape.
Her distinctive style blends recognizable forms with abstraction, allowing each viewer to interpret the work through their own memories and emotions.
Since 2018, Elena has participated in numerous group and juried exhibitions across Ontario. Her work is represented by Cloud Gallery in Orillia, and she is an exhibiting member of Muskoka Arts & Crafts. Through her paintings, Elena celebrates the beauty and serenity of Canada's landscapes while creating meaningful connections with collectors through texture, light, and emotion
