Gretchen Amirault - Island #4 - Oil on cradled wood panel

Gretchen Amirault is a Nova Scotian artist currently working primarily in oils. She is mostly self taught, but has taken courses locally over the years. Spending a lot of time in nature either sailing, kayaking, hiking or biking gives her lots of inspiration and subject matter for her art. Being creative with her hands has always been a part of her life, whether working with paints or fabrics. She lives in Upper Tantallon where she has been a member of the Crossroad Artists Group for many years. She currently exhibits her work at her studio Gretchen’s Studio during the Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts each summer and at the Crossroads Artists annual show each fall in Tantallon, NS. Her paintings are also shown at various galleries and venues in Nova Scotia throughout the year..
