Art has always been an inseparable part of my life. Growing up in an environment where creativity was deeply valued, I naturally developed a strong connection with the visual arts. Over the years, this passion evolved into a lifelong journey of exploration through painting, design, and artistic expression. To me, the world of art is unlike any other — creative, soothing, mesmerizing, and deeply therapeutic. I hold an M.A. in Fine Arts along with a Diploma in Interior Design, and my professional journey has allowed me to work across both fine art and design disciplines. As a freelance fine artist, former interior designer, and past visiting faculty in Interior Design, I have had the opportunity to engage with art from multiple perspectives — as a creator, designer, educator, and observer. My work spans a variety of mediums including oils, watercolours, acrylics, gouache, charcoal, and pastels. I am particularly drawn to landscapes, figurative studies, florals, still life, portraits, and atmospheric compositions, often exploring them through realistic and impressionistic approaches. My background in architectural and interior rendering has also influenced my sense of structure, light, and spatial harmony within my paintings. Over the years, my paintings have found place in private collections in India and abroad through exhibitions, commissioned works, and independent sales. I have participated in several solo and group exhibitions at national and international levels and have been honoured with multiple awards, including gold and silver medals for my paintings. Through my work for “Painting the East,” I hope to capture not only visual beauty, but also the quiet emotion, cultural richness, and timeless spirit that continue to inspire me as an artist..
