Living and working in rural Northern Nevada, Alyssa's art often portrays the wild spaces where she spends most of her time. Hiking, camping and backpacking offer boundless opportunities for inspiration and she strives to paint the world as she sees it, in bright, bold colors that capture the spirit of a site rather than just a reproduction. Through her work, she hopes to foster a greater appreciation for nature and encourage others to support conservation efforts. She is a lover of all animals, and her art often features wildlife, especially wild horses. In addition to traditional painting, she travels the country as a muralist and a traveling sidewalk chalk artist. She is the owner of Black Cat Chalk Art and Murals and holds a BFA in Drawing and Painting from Boise State University..
