Julie King is a lifelong artist living and creating on her acreage in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada. She holds a Fine Art education from the Alberta College of Art (now Alberta University of the Arts) in Calgary and has studied at Pro’s Art School in Edmonton. Today, Julie shows her work with various Galleries, Art Walks, Cafes, Institutions and Markets in the Greater Edmonton area. She splits her time between the prairies and the beautiful Sunshine Coast, B.C., where she spends her time boating, hiking, swimming and collecting inspiration. Julie paints to immerse herself in the joy of creative flow. She uses both experimental and traditional methods to in oil, acrylic and mixed media, to create fine art with texture, contrast and mood, inspired by the majesty and perfection of the natural world. Julie’s work forges deep emotional connections with viewers. The viewing experience transcends the visual and the art is not only seen, but deeply felt.
