Raquel Aurini - Rainbow By The Waves - Oil on canvas

Raquel Aurini is a Toronto-based oil painter whose work explores attention, atmosphere, and the experience of place. Drawing inspiration from travel, nature, and everyday encounters, she creates paintings that capture the feeling of being somewhere rather than simply recording its appearance. Whether depicting landscapes, urban streets, interiors, or gathering spaces, she uses colour and light to convey mood, memory, and a sense of presence. Her work invites viewers to slow down, notice their surroundings, and reconnect with the visual richness of the world around them.

Aurini holds a BA in Studio Art from the University of Guelph and a Diploma in Digital Media Arts from Seneca College. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and outdoor art fairs and is collected in private collections across Canada and internationally.
